Quick Take: Packers outlast Redskins

It was over when ...
Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell's pass to Ladell Betts on fourth-and-1 went for a zero gain and Green Bay took over on downs with just under seven minutes remaining. Washington got the ball back twice more but failed to pick up a single first down in those drives.

Game balls
A pair of Packers defenders deserve game balls. Cornerback Charles Woodson, who had a first-half interception, picked up a Santana Moss fumble and returned it for the go-ahead touchdown in the foruth quarter. Defensive end Aaron Kampman manhandled the Redskins' right side of the line, collecting nine tackles, two sacks and constantly pressuring Campbell.

Key stat
The difference in the game proved to be each team's ability to recover fumbles. The Redskins lost two of their four fumbles, including the one that was brought back for the Packers' winning score. Green Bay, meanwhile, managed to recover all four of its fumbles.

Noteworthy
Washington lost three offensive linemen in the game, nearly causing it to use emergency lineman Lorenzo Alexander on the final drive. Stephon Heyer, Todd Wade and Casey Rabach all left with injuries. Wade, who was replaced earlier in the game by Wade, came in on the final drive, preventing the Redskins from having to use Alexander. For the Packers, tight end Bubba Franks was carted off in the fourth quarter. ... Brett Favre broke the all-time interecptions record with his 278th. Washington was also the team Favre had his first two career interceptions against.
