Quick Take: Eagles take down rival Cowboys

It was over when ...
Tony Romo threw his third interception of the game with 2:50 left. On the Eagles' ensuing possession, RB Brian Westbook stopped at the 1-yard line rather than run the ball into the end zone. His quick thinking allowed the Eagles to run out the clock and ensured Tony Romo would not get a shot at a comeback for Dallas.

Game balls
The Eagles defense held the high-powered Cowboys to 240 yards (53 on the ground) and didn't allow Dallas to score a touchdown. It was the first time since 2004 (54 games) that Dallas was shut out of the end zone. The Eagles also took Tony Romo down four times (they had only seven sacks all season) and forced two fumbles.

Key stat
Dallas QB Tony Romo finished 13 of 36 for 214 yards, zero touchdowns and three interceptions. The offense converted only one of 13 third-down tries, and star receiver Terrell Owens dropped a key third-down pass in the first half and finished with just two receptions for 37 yards.

Noteworthy
Injuries started to mount for the Cowboys: TE Anthony Fasano, QB Romo and FS Pat Watkins all left the game at some point. ... With his eighth reception, Cowboys TE Jason Witten brought his career total to 340, passing Jay Novacek's franchise record for tight ends. Witten also reached another milestone, marking his first career 1,000-yard receiving season.
