Last week

Keep your eye on ...
Broncos' Marshall Plan:Brandon Marshall is off to a torrid start after missing the first game while serving a suspension. He has 24 receptions, second most in NFL history by a player through his first two games of a season. He also has 100-plus yards in five of his last six games after hitting the century mark just once his first 27 career games.

A Young offense: In the teams' two meetings last year, Selvin Young rushed for 265 yards. The Broncos could use a heavy dose of Young again seeing that the one thing the Chiefs do well is defend the pass; they are giving up just 153 yards per game through the first three weeks. By contrast, Kansas City is giving up 204 rushing yards a game this season.

Herm Edwards' sanity: Having lost 12 straight games going back to last season, extending their franchise worst streak, the Chiefs are likely headed for a baker's dozen against the high-scoring Broncos. Admittedly, Kansas City is in a rebuilding mode, so jobs aren't necessarily on the line. However, you have to think all this losing is starting to take a toll on a coach like Herm Edwards, a known perfectionist.
