Peyton Manning (thigh) questionable vs. Bengals

Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning isn't expected to miss a start on Mondayvs. the Bengals, but he'll be listed as questionable in the meantime.

Following Saturday's practice, Manning was formally given the status despite working through a thigh injury that forced him into the locker room last week against the Chargers.

A noticeably hampered Manning left his last game with less than two minutes to go in the half but returned for the Broncos' opening drive of the third quarter.

With an eye on the playoffs, it's highly unlikely that head coach John Fox would trot Manning out there if he was still as immobile as he looked last Sunday, even if home-field advantage was on the line. Multiple reports out of Denver suggested that Manning's drop back has been fluid and that there doesn't appear to be a visible limp.

As for Manning's favorite target, Emmanuel Sanders, who left Saturday's practice with flu-like symptoms, his status is up in the air; he's also questionable.

Fox said that there was no change in Manning's snap distribution this week, another indicator that nothing will change under center.

Basically, there's no reason to assume the Brock Osweiler era starts this week. It will take much more than a thigh injury -- or a flu -- to keep Manning off the field.
