The playmaking tight end was carted off the field in Foxborough on Sunday after suffering a right leg injury on a third-quarter, 21-yard grab against the Cleveland Browns. He did not return to the game and NFL Media's Albert Breer reported, via a source who's spoken to the tight end, that Gronk is believed to have suffered a torn ACL.
Gronkowski will have an MRI done Monday, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a person informed of Gronk's plans.
Gronkowski was motionless on the field after Browns safety T.J. Ward took him out with a vicious, but clean, low hit.
