Patriots' Jonas Gray headlines Week 11 player honors

It's not surprising anymore when Bill Belichick plucks a previously unknown star off his bench in New England, but there was something about Jonas Gray's dominance that made the NFL take notice Sunday.

In a premiere matchup against the Colts, the undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame, who had not had a regular season carry in his two previous NFL seasons, broke out in a big way with 201 yards on 37 carries and four touchdowns as the Patriots hammered the Colts, 42-20.

But that wasn't the only reward for Gray's efforts.

The 24-year-old also highlights the NFL's Player of the Week crop for Week 11 by taking home his first-ever nod Wednesday.

Over in the NFC, stellar rookie wideout Mike Evans walked away with the honors after registering 209 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the Bucs' win over the Redskins.

Here are the rest of the big winners this week:

AFC

Texans defensive end J.J. Watt: Watt nearly walked away with the offensive award after a stellar touchdown grab, but he was pretty good on defense, too. Watt finished the afternoon in Cleveland with five tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.

Chargers punter Mike Scifres: He was given the special teams award after punting nine times for 380 yards. Five of those punts went inside the 20.

NFC

49ers linebacker Chris Borland: The rookie continues to shine, and finished with 12 tackles and two picks in his team's 16-10 win over the Giants.

Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein: Zuerlein hit all five of his field goal attempts in a monumental upset over Denver.
