Parity rules after three weeks

Parity is the name of the game through three weeks of this early season.

NFL Media Research noted Thursday that a whopping 29 of 32 teams have one or more wins over their first three games, including 26 clubs with a 2-1 or 1-2 record.

Both figures represent the second-highest total after Week 3 since the NFL realigned in 2002. Only the 2012 campaign offered a more parity-heavy early slate, sporting 30 teams with one or more wins and 27 clubs with a 2-1 or 1-2 record.

Fans of the NFL's three winless teams -- the Jaguars, Raiders and Bucs -- should click away, because the news is grim.

Since 1990, only three squads have started 0-3 and made the playoffs -- and never in this century. The 1998 Bills (finished 10-6), 1995 Lions (10-6) and 1992 Chargers (11-5) were the last to do the deed.
