'NFL Total Access' recap: Will Cooper's comments affect Eagles?

Did you miss Wednesday's edition of "NFL Total Access" on NFL Network? Catch up with this recap:

It has been a tough couple of days for the Philadelphia Eagles. First, the Eagles lose wide receiver Jeremy Maclin for the season to an ACL injury. And now, Maclin's supposed replacement, Riley Cooper, is in some very hot water. Cooper was videotaped using racially insensitive language last month at a Kenny Chesney concert.

Matt Millen, LaDainian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk, who joined us from Browns camp. Faulk said the comments could divide the locker room, but he also suggested that those offended by his comments might give Cooper a break if they think he is, for the most part, a good person. Tomlinson agreed with Faulk, and suggested that it will all come down to whether Cooper's teammates believe his apology is sincere. Millen added that Cooper's misstep has created a few issues for team general manager Howie Roseman, who ultimately will have to decide Cooper's long-term future with the organization.

Tomlinson's final point centered around Cooper's relationship with quarterback Michael Vick. If Vick ends up being named the starter, will Cooper's comments at all affect their relationship on the field.

Dr. Neal ElAttrache joined the program to address Percy Harvin's hip injury. Dr. ElAttrache used a few bone props to explain how a torn labrum is not a fun injury to have. According to the doctor, the injury typically takes three months to recover from.

NFL.com's Jeff Darlington reported from the Miami Dolphins' practice facility that newly signed wide receiver Mike Wallace and second-year quarterback Ryan Tannehill haven't spent much time together on the field. He added that the additional preseason game, Sunday evening's Pro Football Hall of Fame Game, could give the duo enough time to find their rhythm.

LT and host Scott Hanson talked about Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson and what he will be able to learn from new offensive coordinator Norv Turner, LT's former coach. Turner loves to get his running backs out in the flat to take advantage of matchups in the secondary. LT thinks Richardson could get 300-plus carries and close to 50 receptions this season.

It was NFC North day on the show, so Tomlinson and Millen discussed the many question marks surrounding the Green Bay Packers. LT says the biggest question is the team’s running back situation – specifically, who will be the starter? Millen addressed the shuffling taking place on the Packers offensive line and how that could affect a run game led by youth.
