  • QB Trey Lance will start in Los Angeles' preseason opener in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday, coach Jim Harbaugh said. Lance is expected to play the first half and into the third quarter.
  • RB Omarion Hampton will play Thursday, per Harbaugh.
  • WRs Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston won't play in the Hall of Fame Game, per Harbaugh.
  • OL Zion Johnson will start at center in the Hall of Fame Game, Harbaugh said. Johnson, a fourth-year interior lineman, will play a few drives, per the Chargers coach.
