  • TE Kyle Pitts is as "healthy as he's ever been" after missing all of the club's offseason program and minicamp due to an undisclosed injury, general manager Terry Fontenot told reporters.

  • TE Jake Ferguson agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $52 million in new money with $30 million in total guarantees, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Ferguson, 26, recorded 59 receptions for 494 yards last season.

  • OT Rashawn Slater and the team are agreed to a four-year, $114 million extension that will make Slater the highest-paid offensive tackle on an average annual basis, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero reported. The team later announced the extension.

  • S Minkah Fitzpatrick agreed to a revised contract that added a $16.245 million signing bonus to his current deal, which previously contained no future guaranteed money, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The Dolphins created $11 million in salary cap space by giving Fitzpatrick a $2 million raise this season, per NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. The Dolphins traded for Fitzpatrick, who began his career in Miami, in June, and Rapoport added the two sides will continue to work toward a long-term contract.

  • WR Bryce Ford-Wheaton was carted off after suffering an apparent injury during Sunday's practice.
  • WR Jalin Hyatt will be eased into practice Sunday after exiting Friday's session with an injury, head coach Brian Daboll told reporters.
  • WR Wan'Dale Robinson will practice in some capacity Sunday following Friday’s collision during team drills, per Daboll.
  • LB Brian Burns will also return to practice after his collision with Robinson on Friday, per Daboll.

INJURIES

  • QB Brock Purdy returned to practice after missing Friday's session due to a personal matter.
  • WR Jacob Cowing (hamstring) will hopefully return to the team for its second preseason game on Aug. 16, head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters. 
  • WR Jauan Jennings (calf) left practice, Shanahan said. Jennings previously suffered a calf injury during OTAs.
  • WR Ricky Pearsall (hamstring) was activated off the team's PUP list.
  • DL Tarron Jackson will undergo further testing after he was carted off the practice field on a stretcher, per Shanahan.
  • CB Renardo Green (hamstring) will hopefully return for the team for its second preseason game on Aug. 16, per Shanahan.

INJURIES

  • WR Terry McLaurin (ankle) has been placed on the physically unable to perform list upon his arrival to training camp, the team announced. McLaurin had held out for the first four days of camp due to a contract dispute.


OTHER NEWS

  • Washington announced former WR Santana Moss will be inducted into the club's Ring of Fame during the club's Week 1 home game versus the Giants. Moss spent 10 seasons in Washington from 2005 to 2014, producing 581 receptions for 7,867 yards and 47 touchdowns.
