You have lineup questions, we have lineup answers -- at least we hope so. Start 'Em, Sit 'Em is here to help fantasy managers make difficult roster decisions. And you know what is a good move? Starting Justin Jefferson. But that's too obvious, so you won't see such simple analysis here. Instead, we're exploring more debatable situations. And if you can't find a player you are looking for, please check out the latest NFL Fantasy lineup rankings.

Start 'Em
Herbert has been balling out as of late with over 25 fantasy points in three straight games. One of the under-the-radar aspects of his game this season is that he has been using his legs more. Herbert has run for more than 30 yards six times this season, averaging 42.4 rushing yards per game over the last five weeks. That gives him a ceiling to finish as the QB1 in any week, while also elevating the floor. This has turned him into a must-start option, especially this week against the Steelers, who have allowed the third-most passing yards and fifth-most fantasy points per game to QBs.
The MVP chatter for Stafford is starting to grow, and deservingly so. In the last five games, he has thrown 16 touchdowns and is averaging 23.3 fantasy PPG -- a figure that is actually dragged down by one dud performance. He has topped 25 points in four of those five, including when he threw for 389 yards and three scores against this banged-up 49ers defense back in Week 5. San Fran has allowed the seventh-most passing yards, while generating pressure at the lowest rate in football. Four of the last five QBs to face the Niners have cleared 19 fantasy points. Stafford has struggled against them in the past, but he is a must-play in this one.
My man, Jaxson Dart! Is he a QB1 ROS? Absolutely! When thinking about the rest of the season, the real question is this: How many QBs would you realistically take over him? On the NFL Fantasy Football Show, I said Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts and Drake Maye. There may be one or two others worth having a conversation about, but that's it. Dart has averaged 22.4 fantasy PPG as a starter, a figure only eclipsed by Allen, Mahomes and Jackson on the season. Dart has scored fewer than 19 points just once. That is largely because he has a rushing TD in all but one start, while running for over 50 yards in four of six. This week, he gets the Bears, who have allowed the second-most passing touchdowns and seventh-most fantasy PPG to opposing QBs, all while creating pressure at a below-average rate. Dart is a must-start option, even if the wider fantasy world hasn't fully caught on yet.
Both quarterbacks are in play in this game! Williams is coming off a career day, as he threw for 280 yards and three scores, ran for 53 yards and caught two passes for 22 yards and a score. He finished with nearly 40 fantasy points. Obviously, you can't expect that kind of performance for a second week in a row, but he does have another fantastic matchup on tap. The Giants have allowed the sixth-most passing yards and fourth-most fantasy PPG to QBs this season. They create pressure and sacks at below-average rates and can be had on deep balls. Plus, given the defenses on both sides, this could be a high-scoring game.
Washington's defense needs to be treated like those in Dallas and Cincinnati: units to pick on in the fantasy realm. The Commanders have allowed the second-most passing yards, fourth-most touchdowns and third-most fantasy PPG to QBs. This past Sunday, Sam Darnold got them for 25 fantasy points in the first half alone. Over the last month, only one quarterback failed to eclipse 20 points against Washington's D: Caleb Williams, who scored 19.88. Goff may be on the road, and the Lions' offense might not look like what it's been the last couple years, but Detroit's quarterback has shown us he still has upside in the right matchup. He went off against the Bears and topped 20 against the Bengals. Start him in this one.
Sit 'Em
This one is a bit spicy, as Jones has been a QB1 for fantasy purposes. The ceiling, outside of one game, has been around 22 fantasy points, but the floor is low. He has scored fewer than 17 fantasy points in four of his last seven games. Last week, despite putting up numbers in catch-up mode and running for a touchdown, he had his worst real-life performance of the year with five turnovers. It was also the game in which he was sacked the most all season. In fact, he's now been sacked eight times the last two games -- after taking just six sacks in the first seven. My theory has been that you play Jones in games where teams will not be able to get after him. This week, he heads to Berlin to face the Falcons, who have created sacks at the sixth-highest rate. They have allowed the fewest passing yards and sixth-fewest fantasy PPG to QBs. He is not a must-sit, but if you can use one of the options above, I would.
Two weeks ago, I had Love as a "sit," and he hit big. Last week, I doubled down, and he had a season low in fantasy points. So, this week is the rubber match! Love has a high ceiling ... but a low floor. He's now scored fewer than 15 fantasy points in three of his last four. He has fewer than 16 in five of eight games. Now, he draws the Eagles, who have allowed the second-fewest pass TDs. They're also fresh off a bye, with some new pieces added to the defense via trade. Given how low Love's floor is, I would look to go in another direction.
I do not think there has been a bigger fantasy supporter of Justin Fields this season than me. That said, I do think this is a week to try and get away from the Jets signal-caller. The Browns generate sacks at the third-highest rate, while the Jets allow them at the fourth-highest rate and allow pressure at the highest rate. Furthermore, Cleveland has given up the fourth-fewest passing yards and seventh-fewest fantasy PPG to QBs. The Browns also have yielded the second-fewest rushing yards (and zero rush TDs) to QBs this season. Fade Fields in one-QB leagues.
Last week, I included Lawrence as a streaming option, and he delivered 21.2 fantasy points. The bad news: Most of that came from two rushing touchdowns, which you cannot bank on weekly. This week, he faces Houston, which has allowed the fewest fantasy PPG to QBs. Earlier this year, the Texans held Lawrence to a season-low 7.78 fantasy points, and he has failed to throw a touchdown pass in his last two games against them. This is a week to get away from Lawrence.
In his return from injury last week, McCarthy threw for a pair of scores and ran for another, finishing with nearly 19 fantasy points in a very impressive win at Detroit. I think he will be a popular streaming option, as the Ravens look like a fantastic matchup on paper. However, they have not been the same porous defense since their Week 7 bye, not allowing a single touchdown over the past two weeks. It is a small sample size, to be sure, but they have held both Caleb Williams and Tua Tagovailoa to fewer than 12 fantasy points. We have seen Baltimore's defense rebound within a season before -- most recently, last year -- and that may be what we are witnessing now. Due to that, I would not take the bait and stream McCarthy.
