New England Patriots running back Eric Kettani, 25, was granted an early release from the Navy, and he's expected to join the Patriots for offseason camp, the Navy announced Wednesday.
Last year, the 5-foot-11, 235-pound Kettani was called back for active duty, missing the 2011 season. He would have been on the practice squad. Now, he'll be in position to make the 2012 team.
