Muir rejoins Colts' D-line; OL Tepper cut to make room

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Colts are bringing back defensive tackle Dan Muir.

Team officials said Monday that they re-signed the 6-foot-2, 312-pound lineman just as practice was ending. He spent the last three seasons in Indianapolis, becoming a key cog in the interior rotation.

Muir signed with the St. Louis Rams as a free agent after the NFL lockout ended, but he later was released.

The fifth-year veteran rejoins a team with which he made 24 starts and already knows the defense and his teammates.

To make roster room for Muir, the Colts waived offensive lineman Mike Tepper, who played in one game after being activated from the practice squad.
