Friday's Heads Up Football news:

  • The Laurel Outlook reported that the largest youth football league in the city of Laurel, Montana will be changing its name and aligning with the Heads Up Football program. Formerly known as Little Guy Football, the league will now be called Yellowstone Youth Football, according to new league president Jeremy DeVries.
  • The Big Ten Network's official site chronicled how the conference has been ahead of the curve in research on concussions and detailed a collaboration with the Heads Up Football program.
  • A columnist for the Chattanooga Times Free Press praised the Heads Up Football program for an upcoming clinic the program will provide in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The event will be led by Heads Up Ambassador Buddy Curry, who agreed with an assessment President Barack Obama made last week that the culture of football has to change.
