For those of you furiously clicking refresh for more on the Minnesota stadium odyssey:

We thought this story was over. It wasn't.

Until now.

The Minneapolis City Council voted 7-6 on Friday to reallocate a sales tax to help fund the stadium project, according to The Associated Press.

Construction of the nearly $1 billion stadium will be funded with $150 million from the city. Minneapolis has agreed to fund an additional $159 million in operating costs, per The AP.

The stadium, being built on the grounds of the Metrodome, is scheduled to open by 2016.
