Michael Vick is changing his number -- again.
The newly-signed quarterback will wear No. 1 for the New York Jets after announcinghe would don the No. 8 earlier in the week.
"I want to see everybody in there (sic) MV8 jerseys this year," Vick wrote Monday on an Instagram post that was later deleted. "I appreciate all the fans that helped. Fresh start ... new me!"
Vick has worn No. 7 throughout his collegiate and professional career. But with Geno Smith entrenched in that jersey number, Vick was forced to choose a different number.
The Jets' new addition is hoping that the No. 1 will have more meanings than one.
