Bruce Arians continues to turn the desert into a haven for ex-Steelers.
The Arizona Cardinals announced Friday that they have signed veteran tackle Max Starks, who started 96 games over 10 years in Pittsburgh.
Starks, 32, was cut by the Chargers late last August when King Dunlap beat him out for the starting left tackle job. He went on to play eight snaps in two games with the Rams before being released in early October.
The Cardinals already have Bobby Massie and Bradley Sowell competing for the starting right tackle job.
The signing of Starks, who hasn't been the same since tearing his ACL in the 2012 playoffs, gives the offensive line veteran insurance. Alternatively, it could just be a favor from Arians to one of his former players.
