The Louisville Cardinals will debut an all-black alternate uniform on Sept. 17 in a home game against Clemson. The school unveiled the new unis on Thursday.
The adidas Primeknit uniform features chrome- and metallic-red-colored wings on the sleeves and a large Old English 'L' on the side of the leg, probably big enough to be visible from the worst seats Papa John's Cardinal Stadium has to offer:
Compared to the "Uncaged Cardinal" uniform the team will wear to open the season Sept. 5 against Auburn in Atlanta, the all-black look is the clear winner.
