Jansen started twice and played in 11 games last season for the Lions. Ciurciu helped out on special teams in nine games last season after signing with the team in October.

Detroit has been active this offseason after winning just two games last season and none in 2008. The Lions signed defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch, wide receiver Nate Burleson and cornerback Jonathan Wade. They also made trades to add defensive tackle Corey Williams and cornerback Chris Houston.
