Kurt Warner, wife Brenda become voices for heart health program

Wednesday's health and safety news from the world of football:

  • Kowa Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. announced former NFL quarterback Kurt Warner and his wife Brenda will be spokespeople for First and Goal, a national education initiative about heart health and the dangers of living with high cholesterol.
  • The Indianapolis Star reported on the NFL hopefuls at a recent Regional Combine in Indianapolis, talking to DirecTV installer and NFL hopeful Marcus Spann.
  • The Chicago Daily Herald reported that the Illinois House has passed a bill that would require coaches to take concussion training. It is similar to the bill recently enacted by Indiana.
