Jimmy Graham is working hard to beat his 2-3 week timetable to return from a sprained shoulder.
The New Orleans Saints' stalwart tight end returned to a limited practice Thursday, according to Tim Twentyman of the Detroit Lions' official website.
Coach Sean Payton is "still optimistic" that Graham will be able to play through the injury at Detroiton Sunday.
Reading the tea leaves, it looks like Graham will have to get through Friday's practice without a setback to suit up this week.
Payton can't be blamed for wanting all hands on deck against the Lions' top-ranked defense.
