No matter who winds up filling the revolving door that is the Cleveland Browns' quarterback spot, he'll need someone to throw to, and the team has been sorely lacking in receivers the past few seasons.
That could change with the 2015 NFL Draft, however, and NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah thinks one prospect in particular would give the team a huge boost.
"This is kind of a dream scenario for me if you're the Cleveland Browns, and that is DeVante Parker falling to No. 12," Jeremiah said on NFL Network's "Path to the Draft." "He's a top 10-caliber player. When you look at the teams picking ahead of them, they have some other needs other than wide receiver.
"There's a chance -- I say 50-50."
Parker is widely considered the No. 3 wideout in the draft, and some think he's in the mix to be the top player at the position alongside Alabama's Amari Cooper and West Virginia's Kevin White. The Browns figure to upgrade their receiving corps early in the draft, but with two picks in the first round, that's not the only position they can address.
"At pick No. 19 on the defensive side of the ball, you could really use a nose tackle, a real physical player inside," Jeremiah said. "Eddie Goldman from Florida State, you cannot move him at the line of scrimmage, and he is what you want a defensive tackle to look like. He would be a perfect fit for Mike Pettine's defense."
Fellow NFL Media analyst Curtis Conway also sees the Browns taking a receiver and defensive tackle in the first round, only in reversed order. Conway projects Texas DT Malcom Brown being the pick at No. 12 followed by Arizona State wideout Jaelen Strong.
