Green Bay Packers rookie defensive lineman Jerel Worthy is done for the season, coach Mike McCarthy announced Wednesday.
Worthy, a second-round draft pick, was carted off the field in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Minnesota Vikings with a knee injury. McCarthy did not specify the injury.
"You can ask him (about specifics) if he wants to share that with you," McCarthy said, according to Fox Sports Wisconsin.
Worthy started four games after being drafted No. 51 overall in 2012. He had 14 tackles and 2.5 sacks. Only B.J. Raji and Ryan Pickett played more snaps on the Packers' defensive line.
Worthy's absence bumps C.J. Wilson, Mike Neal and rookie Mike Daniels up the depth chart. The Packers now have lost their first two selections (Nick Perry) from the 2012 draft.
