Jay Cutler (groin) knocked out of Chicago Bears' game

The Chicago Bears aren't going far without quarterback Jay Cutler at the helm, but they'll do their best against the Washington Redskins.

Cutler limped off the field Sunday after he was sacked in the second quarter by Redskins defensive end Chris Baker.

The Bears later announced that Cutler will not return to the game because of a groin injury. Josh McCown currently is handling relief duties.

The Bears have a bye next week and then face the Green Bay Packers on "Monday Night Football" in Week 9.
