It's Trent Richardson's backfield now; Bradshaw is out

The Indianapolis Coltstraded for Trent Richardson, but they didn't look eager to make him a true primary back anytime soon. Ahmad Bradshaw was on the field in the crucial moments late in last week's win over the 49ers, and a running back by committee appeared inevitable while Richardson got up to speed with his new team.

The Colts might have to speed up Richardson's development.

Colts coach Chuck Pagano said Friday that Bradshaw is out for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars because of a neck injury. Pagano said that something "significant" came out, although we're not sure when. It's uncertain if this is a long-term injury, but Richardson will be the lead back this week in a good matchup against the Jaguars.

Look for Donald Brown to get more snaps on passing downs for the Colts, but this is Richardson's backfield now. Indianapolis' decision to acquire him looks even better.
