Injury roundup: Jordan Reed limited in practice

The Minnesota Vikings will be without their star rookie quarterback on Thursday night.

Teddy Bridgewater is inactive against the Green Bay Packers, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, from a source informed of the situation.

With Bridgewater out against the Packers much maligned quarterback Christian Ponder will get the start for Minnesota. Ponder filled in for the rookie quarterback after he got injured last week but he hasn't made an NFL start since last December.

Other injuries we're tracking on this Thursday:

1.The San Francisco 49ers were without the services of three key contributors in practice. Cornerback Tramaine Brock (toe), right tackle Anthony Davis (knee, ankle) and tight end Vernon Davis (back) all did not participate in practice on Thursday.

  1. Browns coach Mike Pettine said running back Ben Tate is "on course to play" against the Titanson Sunday after spraining his knee in Week 1, per Mary Kay Cabot of The Plain Dealer.
  1. Redskins tight ends Jordan Reed (hamstring) and Niles Paul (concussion) both were limited in practice Thursday. Reed has not played since the first quarter of Week 1. The Redskins will need their playmakers healthy when they take on the Seahawkson Sunday. Left tackle Trent Williams (knee) was also limited in practice for Washington.
  1. Texans coach Bill O'Brien said running back Arian Foster is day-to-day afer injuring his hamstring and will probably be a game-time decision for Sunday's tilt against the Cowboys, per the Houston Chronicle.
  1. Jets coach Rex Ryan said wide receiver Eric Decker felt tightness in his hamstring and was pulled from practice, according to NFL Media's Kimberly Jones.
  1. Titans coach Ken Whisenhunt said quarterback Jake Locker (wrist) is fine and will play Sundayagainst the Browns, per Terry McCormick of Titaninsider.com.
  1. The Panthersannounced that running back Fozzy Whittaker (ankle) and defensive tackle Dwan Edwards (back) were in pads at Thursday's practice. Running back Jonathan Stewart (knee) and cornerback Melvin White (thigh) were not.
  1. Chiefs wide receiver Donnie Avery will undergo sports hernia surgery and is out for Sunday's game with the 49ers, per ESPN.com's Adam Teicher.
  1. Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno told The Palm Beach Post that he's still about four weeks away from playing after suffering a dislocated elbow in Week 2.
  1. Falcons pass-catcher Roddy White practiced Wednesday for the first time all year, hinting that his nagging hamstring has reached fully operational status ahead of Sunday's meeting with the New York Giants, per The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
  1. The Oakland Raiders have placed wide receiver Rod Streater on the reserve/injured -- designated for return list, according to general manager Reggie McKenzie.
