Injured Georgia Bulldogs Josh Harvey-Clemons and Chris Conley will not require surgery and should return at some point this season, according to Georgia coach Mark Richt.

Things we learned

A Georgia team beset by injuries throughout the season has an idle week upcoming, followed by its annual neutral-site clash with archrival Florida. And while the idle week is of no use to those out for the season, those with hopes of playing against the Gators will welcome the rest. Richt, as well, was encouraged that star running back Todd Gurley (ankle) and receiver Michael Bennett would be ready to play against Florida.

"I don't think Josh will need any surgery, I don't think Chris will need any surgery. That's the good news," Richt said. "How long these guys will take, it's hard to say. We're hopeful that they'll be able to play in the Florida game. I'd say Josh is more likely than Chris at this moment, but it's a long ways away before that, so I'm not going to count anybody out yet."

Conley injured his ankle on the final play of Georgia's 31-27 loss at Vanderbilt. Harvey-Clemons, a starting sophomore defensive back, missed the entire second half with a foot injury.

Georgia already has lost several key starters for the season, including wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell and running back Keith Marshall.
