Ike Taylor of Pittsburgh Steelers out with broken ankle

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have to make due without cornerback Ike Taylor for the foreseeable future.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin confirmed Tuesday that Taylor has a right ankle fracture and will be out for at least two weeks.

Taylor was hurt during the first series of Sunday's 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens. He was seen on the sideline later in the game wearing a walking boot.

Cortez Allen replaced Taylor and struggled, giving up a long pass interference penalty and a 28-yard touchdown to Ravens wideout Anquan Boldin. Taylor's health and Allen's struggles likely played a large role in the team's reported decision to bring in former Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Stanford Routt for a workout this week.

In 12 games, Taylor has 32 tackles, one interception and 13 passes defended.
