Former Pro Bowl DL Lett returning to Cowboys as assistant

Leon Lett, a two-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman and three-time Super Bowl champion, has been hired by the Dallas Cowboys as an assistant defensive line coach, according to the Dallas Morning News.

The team brought Lett in after the former Cowboys defender worked with defensive line coach Brian Baker in traning camp and during the season last year.

He was part of the league's Minority Coaching Fellowship Program in 2011.

Lett previously served as defensive tackles coach for the University of Louisana at Monroe in 2009.

In 11 seasons, including 10 with the Cowboys, Lett had 235 tackles and 22.5 sacks.
