Eminem believes Romo can reach the (expletive) promised land

Eminem has been in the public eye for years now, but he's never come across as much of a sports guy.

Perhaps this makes sense. If you listen to Eminem's lyrics, the Detroit native has plenty of internal stuff to work out before he worries about the long-term effects of Matt Millen's tenure with the Lions.

But as it turns out, Marshall Mathers is an NFL bigamist, a fan of both his hometown Lions and the Cowboys. Asked by GQ Magazine about America's Team, Eminem said he still believes Tony Romo has Super Bowl potential.

"I hate to sound (expletive) cliché, but I truly believe that Romo gives them the best chance to win," he said, via The Dallas Morning News. "It's very frustrating to watch them week in and week out. They blew all those fourth-quarter leads this year.

"Man, it's hard to be a football fan. You get invested in your teams and it literally can ruin your entire (expletive) week. And just for the record -- I am a Lions fan first and foremost. But growing up as a kid, the Lions were so bad for so long, that I picked up another team in the Cowboys."

(Don't you wish Tom Brady started every answer the way Eminem does here?)

Asked to pick an ultimate QB-coach combo, Eminem chose Joe Montana and Tom Landry, citing the former Cowboys coach's famous fedora as a selling point. After being reminded that he's previously mentioned Marcus Allen, Michael Vick and Ben Roethlisberger in his songs, Slim Shady was asked when Broncos QB Tim Tebow could expect to be name-checked.

"Who knows?" he said. "A lot of things rhyme with Tebow, though, right?"
