Dwight Freeney will undergo an MRI after ankle injury

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Dwight Freeney went to the locker room with an ankle sprain late in the first quarter of Sunday's 41-21 loss to the Chicago Bears. He did not return.

Freeney, a seven-time Pro Bowl pick, started the day tied for 23rd on the all-time NFL sack list with 102.5 -- the most in Colts history.

Freeney moved to linebacker from defensive end in the 3-4 scheme brought in by new coach Chuck Pagano and defensive coordinator Greg Manusky.

UPDATE: Freeney will undergo an MRI, according to The Associated Press.
