"I think everybody from last year, I think it (leaves) a sour taste in our mouth, especially sitting back and watching the Giants win a championship," Jackson told NFL Network's Kimberly Jones on Wednesday. "It's a rivalry we feel very good about."
Jackson should feel good about it. The Eagles have won seven of the last eight meetings between the two teams, thanks in no small part to Jackson's heroics. Then again, the Giants have that whole "multiple Super Bowl titles" boast going for them.
Jackson plans to change that dynamic, too.
"We already said what we want to do, we know what's at stake," Jackson said. "As long as everybody plays together as a team and has one common goal, I think at the end of the year, we'll be the last team standing."
Yep, it's that time of year in the NFL.
