Delanie Walker, Kevin Walter land on Titans' PUP list

The Tennessee Titans have started work in training camp without Delanie Walker.

The veteran tight end -- signed in the offseason to replace Jared Cook -- has been placed on the physically unable to perform list after recently undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.

Wide receiver Kevin Walter also is on the PUP list after having arthroscopic surgery to correct a disc issue in his back.

Titans coach Mike Munchak said Walker will be able to return to practice in "a few weeks," according to the Tennessean. Walter could miss up to a month.

"He'll definitely at some point play in the preseason and do all that," Munchak said of Walker. "We just wanted to avoid him having to do something later. ... He should be in great shape, but he'll have to start without practicing for a couple of weeks."

Walker initially hurt the knee early in organized team activities, though he participated in June's minicamp. The Titans opted to have Walker's knee cleaned out now to avoid issues in-season.
