DeAndre Hopkins, Megatron top Players of Week

DeAndre Hopkins is finally getting the recognition to go with his ridiculous play this season.

The Houston Texans' receiver took home the Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 6 after snagging 10 receptions for 148 yards and two touchdowns.

Hopkins' 2015 season has been all kinds of outrageous. The third-year pro leads NFL with 89 targets this season (most by any player through the first six games since 1991, as far as STATS can track). He has 11-plus targets in each game this season, which puts him on pace for 237 targets this season. 237!!!!!!

Remember, Hopkins has been doing this with a Brian Hoyer and Ryan Mallett merry-go-round at quarterback.

In Week 6, Hopkins made mind-blowing catch after mind-blowing catch. The 23-year-old pass-catcher can contort his body in a zillion ways and if the ball comes close to his fingertips, it's caught.

Here are the other winners from Week 6:

AFC

Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake woke up with the rest of the snoozing Miami defense in Dan Campbell's first game as interim coach. After getting healthy during the bye week, Wake compiled four sacks of Marcus Mariota in Week 6.

Steelers kicker Chris Boswell nailed four field goals in Sunday's home win over the Arizona Cardinals, including a 51-yarder, and converted his only extra point try. Maybe the fourth time was the charm for the Pittsburgh kicking position in 2015.

NFC

Lions receiver Calvin Johnson finally put up his first 100-yard game of the 2015 season. Megatron gained 166 yards on six catches and earned a touchdown catch. His 57-yard snag in overtime set up the Lions' first win of the season. Perhaps Detroit's offense will stop forgetting they have one of the freakiest athletes in NFL history at their disposal.

* Panthers defensive tackle Kawann Short* had five tackles -- two for loss -- two sacks and a key deflected pass in a last-minute victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Short has been one of the most unheralded game-wreckers among defensive lineman in 2015. It's time he got his due.

Saints linebacker Michael Mauti got rewarded for his epic punt block last Thursday night. Reminiscent of Steve Gleason's franchise-defining punt block from 2006, Mauti's touchdown could have altered the Saints' spiraling season.
