Cowboys place CB DaRon Bland on season-ending IR due to foot injury

DaRon Bland's been plagued by foot injuries in each of the last two seasons.

Unfortunately, his 2025 season will end prematurely due to one.

The Dallas Cowboys cornerback was placed on season-ending injured reserve as he battles a left foot injury, the team announced Saturday.

Bland has already missed two games this season and 10 in 2024 while dealing with foot issues. It’s clearly a persistent problem for the 26-year-old four-year pro.

A 2023 All-Pro and Pro Bowler after returning five of his nine interceptions for touchdowns, Bland inked a four-year, $92 million extension just before the 2025 season kicked off.

In 12 games this season, he’s posted 73 tackles, while tallying six pass breakups and one interception, which he returned 68 yards for a score.

Bland's teammate, Trevon Diggs has played in just six games this season as he works through knee and hip injuries. Diggs was activated from IR on Saturday, ending the veteran CB's two-month absence.
