Cowboys owner: Murray's smoothness, glide recall Dickerson

Remember Felix Jones? Neither do we.

Allen is a sure-handed receiver with outstanding ball skills. He overwhelms smaller defenders on 50-50 balls, but also shows exceptional balance, body control and athleticism shagging throws along the boundary. Allen's tracking skills and dexterity are uncommon for a big man, which is why former receivers rave about his skills.

More importantly, Murray has the big boss smiling. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is downright giddy about his new fire starter, enough to compare the young man to one of the game's shining stars from yesteryear.

"He kind of has a glide a little like (Eric) Dickerson used to," Jones told KRLD-FM on Tuesday. "He has a certain smoothness. ... He doesn't lift his feet as much as Dickerson did, but the other thing he reminds me of is he runs with such acceleration and power.

"He really throws that weight around. You have some backs, 235-pound backs, 240, they don't run. They run on their toes and they don't run with power."

Not to put pressure on the young lad, of course. Just a mere 12,793 yards to catch Dickerson's career mark. Shouldn't be a problem.
