The New Orleans Saints signed two more picks from the 2012 NFL Draft, fifth-rounder Corey White (a cornerback) and seventh-rounder Marcel Jones (an offensive tackle), vice president of communications Greg Bensel announced Monday.
Financial terms of the four-year deals were not disclosed. However, as the 162nd overall pick in the draft, White is slated to earn $2.276 million with a signing bonus of $176,500.
The 5-foot-11, 204-pound White played safety at Samford, but he has above-average speed and recorded a 37-1/2-inch vertical leap at the 2012 NFL Scouting Combine, so the Saints are moving White to cornerback.
Jones' four-year contract has a projected value of $2.148 million with a signing bonus of $48,600.
The 6-foot-6, 320-pound Jones battled injuries during his career at Nebraska. Primarily a right tackle, Jones will add depth behind Jermon Bushrod, Charles Brown and swing tackle Zach Strief.
White and Jones are the second and third members of the Saints' five-player draft class to sign contracts. Last week, the Saints signed third-round pick Akiem Hicks, a defensive tackle, leaving fourth-round pick Nick Toon and sixth-round pick Andrew Tiller as the two remaining unsigned picks.
