St. Louis Rams defensive end Chris Long was ejected from Sunday's 30-15 loss to Carolina for throwing a punch at Panthers guard Christ Scott in a third-quarter fracas.
It's not clear what instigated the scrum, but Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith was in the middle of it -- as usual.
Long was showered with insults and debris as he made his way to the locker room.
With tempers flaring a few plays later, Panthers fullback Mike Tolbert was called for a personal foul that turned a potential touchdown into a field goal.
