The Chicago Bears are weighing the possibility of signing free-agent safety Charlie Peprah, a league source told the Chicago Tribune.

The Packers released Peprah after he failed a physical on the first day of training camp. The Bears plan to examine Peprah's knee to determine the effects of an earlier arthroscopic surgery, the Tribune reported.
