Cardinals QB Kolb inactive vs. Rams; Skelton remains starter

The Arizona Cardinals must wait at least one more week for Kevin Kolb to return from a nagging turf toe injury, as their starting quarterback was inactive for a fourth consecutive week.

With Kolb out, John Skelton will start for the Cardinals in Sunday's meeting with the St. Louis Rams. He's 2-1 as a starter this season.

Kolb, who was listed as questionable Friday, injured his foot during a Week 8 game against the Baltimore Ravens and has endured a slow, painful recovery.

Cardinals tight end Rob Housler (groin) was inactive, and linebacker Joey Porter (knee) previously had been ruled out. Cornerback Michael Adams, offensive tackle Brandon Keith and tight end Todd Heap was active after being listed as questionable.

Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis (foot) and defensive end Chris Long (ankle) also was active after previously being listed as questionable.

Wide receiver Danario Alexander (hamstring) was out for the fifth consecutive game, and running back Cadillac Williams (calf) missed his second consecutive game.
