BYU CB Jordan Johnson to miss 2013 season with knee injury

BYU cornerback Jordan Johnson will miss the upcoming season after tearing his ACL in practice Monday, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

Johnson started 12 games last season and led the Cougars with 15 pass breakups, along with 48 tackles and one interception.

With the redshirt junior sidelined, BYU must now replace both starting corners. Junior-college transfer Trenton Trammell was expected to see significant playing time opposite Johnson, but suffered a knee injury of his own during spring practice. Johnson's backup coming out of the spring, senior Adam Hogan, appeared in only four games last season and did not record a tackle.
