Bryant McKinnie loses weight before Ravens camp

When the Baltimore Ravens held Bryant McKinnie out of minicamp practices for conditioning purposes last month, the offensive lineman's weight was blamed as the culprit.

McKinnie reportedly hovered close to a lissome 360 pounds following the Ravens' voluntary workouts, but he told Yahoo! Sports Radio on Wednesday that he has reduced that number even further, getting it down to 350.

"(The Ravens wanted me) to be able to still have that conditioning to get through that fourth quarter, still play at a high level in the fourth quarter as well," McKinnie said, via The Baltimore Sun.

The Ravens signed McKinnie before last season after he was released by the Minnesota Vikings, who said his weight hovered close to 400 pounds (by our count, roughly three Gregg Rosenthals), a claim McKinnie denied.

"I never was. That was exaggerated by the Vikings," said McKinnie, who pointed out one positive to all the reports about his beefy physique: Ray Lewis just bought him a juicer.
