Broncos' Fox not ready to talk about Tebow starting next season

Broncos coach John Fox, knee-deep in his game plan to topple Tom Brady and the Patriotson Sunday, is already fielding questions about next season.

Meaning next season and Tim Tebow. Meaning, will he still be the starting quarterback?

"We get that question a lot, whether it's John Elway or myself. We're both his biggest fans," Fox told "The Jim Rome Show" on Friday. "I mean, we love him. How would you not at 7-1? I think, right now, all our focus is, 'Let's get this season done.'

"We love him, he's great, we're pulling for him, and you know, we'll make those decisions when this season is over and not worry about next season at this point."

Coaches live game-by-game, so badgering Fox about the long-term plans for Tebow and the read-option offense will net only vague responses. Fox recently admitted to being largely oblivious to the entire beehive of madness surrounding Tebow. After all, he's holed up in Dove Valley 24/7 watching film in an attempt to win the AFC West.

If Fox and Elway were on the fence about Tebow five weeks ago, who can blame them? It's clear both men are rooting and working for their quarterback -- and the Broncos -- to succeed now.

Just how much excitement and fist-pumping do we need from Elway, especially, to believe he's behind the young man? Tomorrow will take care of itself.
