The Atlanta Falcons released fullback Ovie Mughelli, the team announced Tuesday.
The Falcons signed Mughelli as an unrestricted free agent on March 2, 2007. He appeared in 69 games in his five seasons with the team, starting 38 times. Last season, Mughelli played in seven games.
The 31-year-old fullback has played nine years in the league.
