Adam Snyder joins San Francisco 49ers for two years

Adam Snyder left the San Francisco 49ers last season for a chance to start with the Arizona Cardinals, picking up a $5 million signing bonus along the way. That didn't go very well, at least for the Cardinals.

The Cardinals released Snyder last week, and he's landed back on his feet with the San Francisco 49ers and a two-year contract from his former team.

"Thank you all for the support. So excited to have the opportunity to finish what I started long ago!!" Synder tweeted on Monday.

The 49ers see Snyder as the perfect backup because he can play any position when asked. He's also familiar with the scheme. While Snyder isn't guaranteed a roster spot on the 49ers, he's got a good chance to make the team.

Snyder was a third-round pick on the team back in 2005. That was about four head coaches ago.
