A.J. Jefferson cut by Minnesota Vikings after arrest

The Minnesota Vikings released A.J. Jefferson on Monday morning, just hours after the cornerback was arrested.

NFL Media confirmed through the Hennepin County (Minn.) Sherriff's Office that Jefferson is in jail after being arrested for alleged domestic assault. USA Today's Tom Pelissero first reported the arrest.

Jefferson becomes the second Vikings player arrested this month. Wide receiver Jerome Simpson was arrested for drunk driving Nov. 9.

Jefferson, a fourth-year player, has struggled in limited work this season.
