Notable injuries, news from Sunday's Week 8 games: Eagles RB Saquon Barkley not concerned about groin injury

Here are the injuries and news we're monitoring around the league on this Week 8 Sunday:

  • Buffalo Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver (biceps) will undergo testing but is expected to miss game action due to his injury suffered against the Panthers, NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe reported.
  • Carolina Panthers defensive lineman Derrick Brown (knee) left and did not return against the Bills, but head coach Dave Canales described him as seeming "fine" after the game. Offensive lineman Brady Christensen suffered a significant Achilles injury and is likely out for the year, Canales said.
  • Chicago Bears defensive lineman Shemar Turner (knee) was ruled out against the Ravens after being carted to the locker room. Wide receiver Luther Burden III (concussion) was ruled out. Defensive lineman Dominique Robinson (ankle) did not return.
  • Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson (right hip) and linebacker Shaka Heyward (fibula) were ruled out against the Jets. Guard Dalton Risner did not play due to being ill.
  • Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins (shoulder), cornerback Tyson Campbell (concussion) and safety Rayshawn Jenkins (groin) were ruled out against the Patriots. Linebacker Carson Schwesinger is believed to have suffered a high ankle injury and will undergo an MRI, but those injuries usually require a four-to-six weeks absence, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
  • Dallas Cowboys defensive back Alijah Clark (ribs) did not return against the Broncos.
  • Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II (shoulder) was ruled out against the Cowboys.
  • Green Bay Packers linebacker Nick Niemann (pectoral) was ruled out against the Steelers.
  • Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios (chest) and defensive end Dylan Horton (knee) did not return against the 49ers.
  • Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson underwent surgery to repair the orbital fracture that landed him on injured reserve, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Richardson is expected to return this season, per Rapoport.
  • Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Tarheeb Still is expected to miss 2-4 weeks with an MCL sprain he suffered in Thursday night's win over the Vikings.
  • Miami Dolphins safety Ashtyn Davis (quad) did not return against the Falcons. Wide receiver D'Wayne Eskridge (shoulder) was ruled out. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick left with a thumb injury at the tail end of Miami's win.
  • New Orleans Saints quarterback Spencer Rattler was benched and replaced with Tyler Shough in the third quarter of the team's loss to the Buccaneers.
  • New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo suffered a dislocated ankle in the second quarter against the Eagles and will undergo surgery at a local Philadelphia hospital, the team announced. Cornerback Art Green (hamstring) and tight end Daniel Bellinger (neck) left with injuries. Cornerback Cordale Flott (concussion) was ruled out.
  • New York Jets safety Andre Cisco (shoulder) did not return against the Bengals.
  • Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley suffered a groin injury at the end of the third quarter and did not return against the Giants. Barkley said after the game he is not concerned about the injury and has dealt with it before.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale (knee), safety DeShon Elliott (knee) and guard Isaac Seumalo (pectoral) were ruled out against the Packers on Sunday night. The Steelers also will work out wide recevier Marquez Valdes-Scantling on Monday, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.
  • San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Jordan Elliott (ankle) and linebacker Dee Winters (knee) were ruled out against the Texans.
  • Tennessee Titans linebacker Ali Gaye (knee) was ruled out against the Colts. Cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. was evaluated for a concussion.
