Tom Brady sharp for Pats two days after injury scare

Two days after an injury scare that stopped hearts across New England, Tom Brady was back to being Tom Brady.

The two-time NFL MVP was razor sharp in two series against theTampa Bay Buccaneers in Friday night's preseason game, leading the Patriots to 145 yards of offense. Brady had only one incompletion for a second consecutive week, converting 11 of 12 passes for 107 yards and one touchdown. He also threw in a two-point conversion for good measure.

You wouldn't have known Brady was banged up earlier in the week if not for the brace on his left knee. And you also wouldn't have known he was playing without four of his five leading receivers from one year ago. Danny Amendola caught five passes in two drives, and Zach Sudfeld, Josh Boyce, Julian Edelman and LeGarrette Blount also chipped in with grabs.

After a rough offseason, Brady has performed in training camp and the preseason like a man on a mission. Wednesday's knee injury already seems like a long time ago.
