Ryan Succop agrees to terms with Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans have identified their new kicker.

The Titans announced Monday that the team has agreed to terms with former Kansas City Chiefs kicker Ryan Succop. The Tennessean reports it's a one-year deal.

Succop will get a chance to send a message to his former team when the Titans open the season on Sunday against the Chiefs. Succop -- a former Mr. Irrelevant -- was released Saturday after five seasons in K.C.

Succop replaces kicker Travis Coons on Tennessee's roster. The Titans had been on the lookout for a veteran kicker. Jay Feely, Garrett Hartley and Rian Lindell all worked out with the team last week.

Succop is coming off a season in which he converted 22-of-28 field goals (78.6) percent with 47 touchbacks in 91 kickoffs.
