Rolando McClain is calling it quits all over again.

"I'm done," he wrote in a text on Monday to ESPN.com's Seth Wickersham.

The on-again, off-again linebacker made news last week when he bombed in a workout for the Baltimore Ravens, who were willing to give him another try after McClain suddenly announced his retirement last May.

With their offseason program starting Monday, the Ravens on Thursday reinstated McClain from the reserved/retired list, a move seen as likely precursor to releasing the former Oakland Raiders first-round draft pick.

Before retweeting Wickersham's report, McClain wrote the following:

McClain's heart -- at least for now -- is taking him away from the NFL.
